The Hosted Customer Portal is a customer-facing application that allows your end customers to view invoices, manage account details, handle subscriptions, and pay invoices online—all without requiring any custom development on your part.

Portal Overview
The Hosted Customer Portal provides a fully branded experience for your customers to self-serve their account needs.

Portal URL Structure
Your portal is accessible at:
<https://portal.younium.com/{your-portal-slug}>
For example, if your portal slug is acme:

End User Login Flow
The portal uses passwordless authentication via magic links for a secure, friction-free login experience.
Step 1: Access the Portal
Customers navigate to your portal URL in their web browser.
Step 2: Enter Email Address
- Enter your email address in the login field
- Click Send Login Link (or similar button based on your branding)
Step 3: Check Email
The customer receives an email with a secure, one-time login link.
Note: The link expires after a configured time period for security.
Step 4: Click the Magic Link
Clicking the link authenticates the user and redirects them to the portal.
Multi-Account Access
If a contact email is associated with multiple Younium accounts, the user is presented with an account selection screen.
Dashboard
After logging in, customers land on their personalized dashboard.

Navigation
The left sidebar (or top navigation on mobile) provides access to:

- Subscriptions (if enabled)
- Users (for customer admins only)

Invoices
The Invoices page allows customers to view, search, filter, and download their invoices.
Accessing Invoices
Click Invoices in the navigation menu.
Invoice List Features
Search
Use the search box to find invoices by:
- Invoice number
- Reference
- Amount
Status Filtering
Filter invoices by status:
- All - Show all invoices
- Posted - Invoices awaiting payment
- Settled - Paid invoices
- Partially Settled - Invoices with partial payments
Sorting
Click column headers to sort by:
- Invoice Date
- Due Date
- Amount
- Status
Invoice Information

Downloading Invoice PDFs
- Locate the invoice in the list
- Click the Download button
- The PDF opens in a new tab or downloads automatically
Paying Invoices
When online payments are enabled, customers can pay invoices directly through the portal.
Prerequisites
For the Pay Now functionality to appear:
- Stripe payments must be configured in Younium.
- The invoice must have a status of Posted (unpaid)
- A valid payment link must be associated with the invoice
Payment Flow
Step 1: Find the Invoice
Navigate to the Invoices page and locate an unpaid invoice.
Step 2: Click Pay Now
Click the Pay Now button next to the invoice.
Step 3: Complete Payment
You’ll be redirected to the payment provider’s secure payment page.
- Enter payment details as required by your payment provider
- Confirm the payment amount
- Submit the payment
Step 4: Return to Portal
After successful payment, you’ll be redirected back to the portal. The invoice status will update once the payment is processed (this may take a few moments).
Payment Status Updates

Note: Payment processing can take a bit of time,It may take a few minutes for the status to update.
Account Information
The Account page displays customer details and allows editing of certain information.
Viewing Account Information
Navigate to Account in the menu.

Editing Account Information
- Click the Edit button next to the field you want to change
- Make your changes in the edit form
- Click Save to confirm changes
- A success message confirms the update
Note: Changes to account information may be subject to review depending on your business configuration.
Subscriptions
The Subscriptions page shows all active subscriptions with detailed product and pricing information.
For subscriptions to appear in the subscriptions component, the relevant products must first be configured as searchable. Only orders containing these configured products will be retrieved by the system.
To configure searchable products:
- Navigate to the Self Service Hub.
- Under Configuration, select Subscriptions.
Accessing Subscriptions
Navigate to Subscriptions in the menu.
Subscription Overview
Each subscription card displays:
- Subscription Number - Unique identifier
- Status - Active, Cancelled, or Expired
- Date Range - Subscription term dates
- Products - List of subscribed products
Viewing Subscription Details
Click on a subscription to expand it and view:
- Individual product lines
- Pricing details per product
- Quantity information
- Billing periods
Product Line Details
Click on a product line to see expanded pricing information:

Tiered Pricing
For products with tiered or volume pricing, click View Pricing Tiers to see the pricing breakdown.
Subscription Management
The portal supports customer-initiated subscription changes, including quantity adjustments and add-on products.
Editing Quantities
For quantity-based subscriptions, customers can request quantity changes.
Step 1: Find the Product Line
Navigate to Subscriptions and expand the subscription containing the product.
Step 2: Click Edit
Click the Edit button on a quantity-based product line.
Step 3: Adjust Quantity
- The quantity edit modal opens
- Enter the new quantity
- The price change is calculated in real-time
- Review the price impact
Step 4: Submit Request
- Click Request Change to submit
- A confirmation message appears
- The change request is sent to Younium for processing

Adding Add-on Products
If add-on products are configured, customers can add them to existing subscriptions.
Step 1: Find the Subscription
Navigate to the subscription you want to add products to.
Step 2: Click Add
Click the Add button in the subscription header.
Step 3: Select Add-on Product
- The add-on selection modal opens
- Browse available add-on products
- Select the product(s) you want to add
- Configure quantity if applicable
Step 4: Review and Confirm
- Review the pricing for the add-on
- Click Add to Subscription
- The request is submitted for processing
Change Request Status
After submitting a subscription change:
- The request is logged in the Activity Log
- The change is processed according to your business rules
- The customer may receive email confirmation
Note: Subscription changes may require approval depending on your configuration.
User Management (Customer Admin)
Customer administrators can manage portal access for other users within their organization.
Accessing User Management
Navigate to Users in the menu (visible only to customer admins).
Viewing Users
The Users page displays all portal users for your account:
- Email - User’s email address
- Role - User or Admin
- Status - Active, Invited, Disabled
- Last Login - Most recent access
Inviting New Users
- Click + Invite User
- Enter the user’s email address
- Select a role:
- User - Standard access to portal features
- Admin - Full access including user management
- Click Send Invitation
The new user receives a welcome email with a link to access the portal.
Managing Existing Users
For each user, you can:
- Change Role - Switch between User and Admin
- Remove User - Revoke portal access

Mobile Experience
The Hosted Portal is fully responsive and works on mobile devices.

Your portal reflects the branding configured in the Self-Service Hub:

Security Features
The Hosted Portal includes several security measures:

Session Expiration
If your session expires:
- A modal appears indicating session expiry
- Click Login Again to request a new magic link
- Check your email and click the new link
Troubleshooting
I didn’t receive the magic link email
- Check your spam/junk folder
- Verify you entered the correct email address
- Wait a few minutes and try again
- Contact your administrator if issues persist
My login link isn’t working
- Login links expire after a limited time
- Request a new magic link
- Ensure you’re using the most recent link if you requested multiple
I can’t see the Pay Now button
- Verify the invoice is in “Posted” status
- Online payments may not be enabled for your organization
- Contact your administrator
Subscription changes aren’t reflected immediately
- Changes may require approval
- Allow time for processing
- Check for confirmation emails
