The integration with Mastercard open banking (previously called Aiia) provides a way to connect Younium to your bank accounts. This enables Younium to fetch transactions from the bank account to enable automatic payment reconciliation.
Mastercard open banking covers many European banks; a complete list is available here.
Connect to Mastercard open banking
To enable the integration, go to Settings > Integrations > Aiia and click "Connect". This will start a guide that establishes an approved data flow from your bank to Aiia hub and further from Aiia hub to Younium. In the first step of the guide you approve that Mastercard (Aiia) can access your bank account and account transactions and daily fetch that to the Aiia hub. After approving this, in the next step, it is possible to search for your bank and start the authentication process. This process is different from bank to bank but generally includes an authentication by a secure method and selecting what bank accounts to allow the integration to access.
Once the guide is successfully completed, you are routed back to Younium and you can now find the Mastercard/Aiia integration enabled.
Configuring bank account integration in Younium
To start setting up the bank accounts, click the button "Fetch bank accounts". This will load a list of all bank accounts that Aiia has access to from your bank. After this, you need to attach a payment method to each bank account. The payment method holds the financial account to use for the bank account. Payment methods are created under Settings > Accounts receivable > Payment settings.
Fetch transactions from bank account
Transactions from the bank accounts can be done manually or automatically. Manually it is done either in the Aiia settings with the button "Fetch payments" on each bank account. When doing a manual fetch you have the option to fetch all new transactions since last fetch or enter a custom date. Entering a custom date is often relevant for the first fetch since configuring the integration. Another option to manually fetch payments is on the payments page where "Import from Aiia" is an option in the dropdown "Add payments", this button always fetches the new transactions from last fetch.
Automatic fetch from the bank accounts are done by enabling the scheduled job "Aiia import payments job". This is done under Settings > General > Schedule jobs.
