User permissions
For a user to see data in Insights, the user need sto have a role that has the permission "View insights" in the relevant legal entities.
Group consolidation
To do group consolidation, which means that you can see data for multiple legal entities with different base currencies in Insights, you need to define which of your legal entities has the currency code and exchange rates that should be used for the group consolidation. To enable this, set the parameter "Group reporting exchange rates" in the legal entity that has the currency code and exchange rates you want to use for consolidation. If you don't want to use one of your existing legal entities you can create a fictive "Group company" that has the sole purpose of having the exchange rates used for defining exchange rates for consolidation.
Usage data (Beta release April 2024)
Younium Insights can forecast recurring revenue for usage charges by simulating future invoicing. The forecasting uses the latest imported usage numbers as the basis for future revenue. For example, if you have imported usage for January, these numbers will be used for January and any consecutive months. (It is in the current roadmap to add additional forecasting models, such as "Same period last year" or "Average rolling 3 months".)
Since forecasting future usage billing is resource-heavy it is done using a separate job that can be scheduled in your Younium environment. To enable this, browse to Settings > General > Scheduled jobs. Click "Schedule job", and select and configure the job "Calculate and store usage MRR data". After the job has been executed successfully, you find usage as an option in the dimension "Charge type" under the menu item "Recurring revenue" in Insights. It is advised to schedule the job once a day to make sure the data is refreshed regularly. Note that usage data is not automatically refreshed when the normal refresh of the Insights data is done using the refresh icon in the user interface, usage data is only refreshed using the scheduled job.
